The oil terminal at Dubandi is the largest on the Absheron peninsula. Kazakh, Turkmen and Azerbaijani oil is handled at the terminal and further transshipped to the ports on Black Sea and to the world markets. The terminal includes two piers at which four tankers with DWT capacities of between 5,000 and 12,000 can be handled simultaneously. Up to ten million tons of cargo can be handled at the terminal every year. The terminal’s Vessel Traffic Control service is responsible for safe navigation at sea and two tugboats with powers of 450kW and 1,200 kW provide safe moorings for ships.
