Dangerous cargo

Port of Baku handles dangerous goods, such as oil and oil products. We have a team of specialists, supported by our Emergency Response Team, to ensure that all dangerous goods are handled safely and meet the regulatory requirements.

In this regard, we will also provide a range of services at the New Port, including:

  • The monitoring of Direct DG (dangerous goods) containers – to assist customers on the temporary storage of highly hazardous DG containers that previously required direct delivery / loading with additional measures in place;
  • DG Reworking – to mitigate leaking / damaged DG cargoes, which are unsafe for shipment;
  • The labelling of DG – to placard DG containers with missing or incorrect mandatory hazard labels;
  • Pre-shipment Inspection – to inspect cargo stacking / packing prior to onward shipment.
