The Port Art Center of the Port of Baku organizes a photo exhibition entitled “Unsung Heroes” on the occasion of “8th of March - International Women's Day”.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on March 7, 2023, 16: 00 at the Baku Marine Terminal (Port Art Center, Neftchilar Ave.62, opposite of JW Marriott Absheron).
The main purpose of the exhibition is to showcase the success stories of women working in the maritime and transportation fields, who have chosen to become seafarers, railway workers, and sailors. The event is also aimed to support the sustainability initiatives towards women empowerment, as well as to raise public awareness on important role of women in the development of transportation and logistics system in Azerbaijan.
The unique 50 photos that will be displayed at the exhibition from March 07 to April 07 2023 have been donated by Port of Baku, the State Maritime and Port Agency, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and TEAS Press publishing house.
High-level Government officials, Ambassadors, Diplomats, Business leaders, port, railway and transport specialists, media representatives, etc. participated in the opening ceremony.
Entrance to the exhibition is complimentary, the exhibition will be open to the public from March 07, 2023 to April 07, 2023.
