Certificates

As Port of Baku, we believe that the application of high standards leads to the stability of operations, improvement of port services and efficient implementation of financial obligations. ISO Certificates help to ensure that the services provided to the port are always in line with customer requirements, continuously improve the quality of operations and identify and eliminate risks. In 2019, the Port of Baku succeeded in receiving ISO9001 Quality Management System Standard and ISO14001 Environmental Management Certificate.

We also received the Port Environmental Expertise System (PERS) certificate in 2019, the first among Caspian Sea ports, issued by EcoPorts, a major environmental initiative of the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO). Thus, the Port of Baku became one of the 34 ports in Europe that received the mentioned certificate.

On September 22, 2017, the Port of Baku was awarded the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate. This reaffirms that the Port of Baku supports a safe and healthy work environment and strives to minimize the risk of accidents by controlling negative aspects related to occupational health and safety. It also shows that the Port of Baku is a responsible institution that strives to ensure occupational health and safety along with economic development.
