The opening ceremony of the joint project of Port of Baku and Port of Antwerp took place

Today, the opening ceremony of the project “human factor: security, protection and health” jointly implemented by CJSC “Baku International Sea Trade Port” and the International Port of Antwerp took place in the Kingdom of Belgium. The ceremony was opened by Taleh Ziyadov, Director General of Port of Baku, who participated in the ceremony online, and Steffan Kassimon, Director of Projects and Planning and Board Member of Antwerp International Port "APEC Port Training Center". Speaking at the opening ceremony, Taleh Ziyadov said that this project, which was implemented in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on the development of human capital signed between the Port of Baku and the Port of Antwerp in January of this year, will provide people responsible for issues such as safety, security, and health of local companies in the 21st Europe's leading training center. will ensure that he acquires knowledge that meets the requirements of the century.

 

At the same time, it was pointed out that, according to the memorandum, such exercises are planned to be held in the future, which will allow to expand cooperation with the second largest port of Europe. Mr. Steffan Kassimon also expressed his satisfaction with this cooperation and welcoming the training participants from Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium.

 

It should be noted that 12 executives responsible for security issues of various government institutions  of Azerbaijan and private companies operating in our country, currently in the Kingdom of Belgium, will participate in practical trainings conducted by professional specialists of the port and Training Center of Antwerp within the framework of this project and will get acquainted with modern control and management mechanisms.
