The second export block train from Turkey to China arrived at the Port of Baku
The second export block train from Turkey to China arrived at the Port of Baku.
It took 6 hours to unload and load to the Beket Ata feeder at the Port of Baku. Without delay the operation was successfully executed. The train consists of 42 containers, each is 40 feet long, and holds 1400 refrigerators.
In total 8,693 kilometers of freight trains will pass through Turkey, Istanbul (Marmaray) -Kosekoy-Ankara-Sivas-Karshatti, also through Akhalkalaki station and will be connected with the transport network abroad.
The train used the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, was reloaded in the Port of Baku and sent across the Caspian Sea, to Xian, China via Kazakistan.
The operators of the first export train from Istanbul to Xian, which was sent by the Baku-Tblisi-Kars railway, also with the support of the Members of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Consortium, ADY Container (Azerbaijan), KTZ Express (Kazakhstan), GR Logistics ( Georgia) and Pacific Eurasia Logistics (Turkey) companies.
This train will be delivered from the Port of Baku to the Aktau Port by the “Beket Ata” feeder, which is operated by ADY Container and belongs to “Kazmortransflot”.
The project is the result of successful cooperation of “Baku International Sea Trade Port” CJST, “Azerbaijan Railways”, “Turkey Railways”, “Georgia Railways”, and “Kazakhstan Railways” within the framework of the “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” International Association.
We inform you that the first block train with cargo from Turkey to China arrived at the Port of Baku on December 10 and after loading the Beket Ata feeder within 6-7 hours went to the Port of Aktau, in Kazakhstan. In addition, this year, 12 672 TEU containers were transported across the Caspian Sea via the feeders of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and from 2021 trains will run in this direction twice a month.
