Mr. Datuk Mutang Tagal, President of the Malaysian Senate, led a high-level delegation to the Port of Baku in Azerbaijan. The visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities and enhance bilateral ties in the port industry, as well as to assess the capacity of the Port of Baku as a strategic hub of the Middle Corridor. Key discussions included the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor for global connectivity, new business opportunities for joint investments, sustainability and technology transfer in port operations.

The delegation also discussed the avenues for Malaysian ports and businesses to connect Europe via the Port of Baku, as well as prosperous business opportunities for Central Asia and the Black Sea region to increase trade with Far Asian countries.
