Today, on the occasion of the Day of the Seafarer, a group of employees from the Port of Baku, together with the staff of the State Maritime and Port Agency and "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company" JSC, commemorated National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect of modern and independent Azerbaijan, and laid bouquets of flowers in front of his grave.

Afterwards, the memory of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Mrs. Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated.

Later, the visitors who were visiting the Alley of Martyrs paid tribute to the memory of the heroic children of the Motherland, including seafarers, who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and laid bouquets of flowers on their graves.  On the occasion of the Day of the Seafarer, the monument erected in memory of the Port Martyrs was visited and the dear memory of our Martyrs was also commemorated.

On the occasion of their professional holiday, we congratulate our seafarers, who have dedicated their lives to this difficult and honorable profession.
