The Port of Baku supports the “Protect the Caspian Sea” Campaign
The Port of Baku participated in the 15th anniversary of the International Coastal Cleanup campaign "Xəzəri Qoruyaq" (Protect the Caspian Sea), joining as a partner alongside the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, SOCAR, Bakcell, and Carlsberg.
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev, and other officials attended the final cleanup at Novkhani Beach, highlighting the event’s importance for COP29.The campaign focused on improving ecological conditions, raising public awareness, and encouraging responsible environmental practices. The Port of Baku team helped clean the Caspian coastline, with over 4 tonnes of trash collected this year and sent for recycling.
