Dr. Taleh Ziyadov, Director General of the Port of Baku, attended as a panelist in the session “Sector Transformation: Driving Adoption of Decarbonized Solutions.”

This panel was organized by the Business, Investment, and Philanthropy Climate Platform (BIPCP) in collaboration with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), and the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ). This event united global leaders across business, investment, and philanthropy to explore essential strategies for transitioning heavy-emitting industries toward net zero.

At COP29, Dr. Taleh Ziyadov emphasized the Port of Baku’s role in driving green initiatives along the Middle Corridor. He highlighted how public-private partnerships, innovative climate solutions, and infrastructure investments are key to transforming the transportation sector for a sustainable future.
