Another panel was organized by the Port of Baku within the framework of COP29

Within the framework of COP29, the Port of Baku organized a panel titled "Pathways to Sustainable Connectivity: Efforts of CICA & its Member States, and Regional Organizations in Asia for Secure, Effective and Climate-Resilient Transportation Corridors."

 

The opening speech was delivered by Zhang Ling, Deputy Secretary General of CICA and Natavan Aghayeva, International Relations Manager of the Port of Baku, at the panel moderated by Gurban Karimbayli, ESG Advisor and SDG Initiatives Program Manager of the Port of Baku. The panel featured speakers such as Burak Aykan, Director-General for European Union Relations and Foreign Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and Qiu Xinli, Counsellor at the Department of Border and Ocean Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Discussions were held on topics such as the right policy frameworks and regulatory measures for effective and safe transport corridors, sectoral integration and sustainable development, the role of technology in building integrated and safe transport corridors, green ports, global cooperation, and a sustainable future.
