The Netherlands' "SWZ Maritime" publication has published an article about the dredger being built on the order of the Port of Baku

The article states that the dredger is the first vessel of this type to be built at the Baku Shipyard. The Dutch company “Damen Shipyards Gorinchem” B.V. (Damen) is providing the design and operational components for the vessel. The CSD 650 is a stationary dredger designed to work at a dredging depth of 18 metres. The 700-kW cutter power and 1825-kW dredge pump power combined with the impressive 63-metre swing width ensure efficient dredging operations. The information states: "This vessel will make a significant contribution to the increasing trade turnover in the Caspian Sea."
