Container turnover at Port of Baku hits record high
Between January and July 2025, container turnover at the Baku International Sea Port, operated by “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY), reached an all-time high.
Over this seven-month period, the port handled 60,429 TEU containers, marking a 54.2% rise compared to the 39,184 TEU recorded in the same period of 2024. Recognized as the region’s most modern logistics hub, Port of Baku has maintained strong growth momentum, with volumes projected to reach around 100,000 TEU by the end of the year.
Following its integration with Azerbaijan Railways to boost the country’s transit potential, the port’s annual handling capacity was rapidly expanded from 100,000 TEU to 150,000 TEU without any additional investment.
