Internationally Significant Training Held at the Port of Baku

As part of a joint program between the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), a specialized training session is being conducted at the Port of Baku, operated by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, a company under AZCON Holding.

Taking place from August 27 to 29, 2025, the training is focused on strengthening cooperation under the Passenger and Cargo Control Program (PCCP). Its primary goal is to enhance collaboration between the customs port control units of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

The event brings together representatives from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, WCO experts, and PCCP coordinators to exchange advanced practices in customs and border control. Participants are also gaining firsthand insight into the modern infrastructure and operational capabilities of the Port of Baku.

This initiative is expected to make a valuable contribution to improving the security and efficiency of regional trade.

The Port of Baku consistently strengthens international cooperation and continues to solidify its position as a key logistics hub in the region.
