The delegation led by the Director-General of The Port of Klaipėda , Algis Latakasas, and Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kęstutis Vaškelevičius, visited the Port of Baku. The visiting delegation was informed about the role of the Port of Baku in the development of the Silk Road and the non-oil sector, strategies for sustainability and reducing carbon emissions to zero, the historical development path, etc., and their questions were answered. In addition, the guests visited the terminals of the port and got acquainted with the work process here and were informed about infrastructure projects.

During the meeting aimed at strengthening business relations between the two countries, discussions were also held on the potential exchange of knowledge and experience between Lithuania’s Port of Klaipeda and Port of Baku.
