A bicycle rally called "A trip to the Green Port with Green Transport" was organized by the Port of Baku and supported by the COP29 operating company on June 8.

The main goal of the bicycle rally within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year” is to make an additional contribution to the sustainability initiatives of our country with environmental awareness prior to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29 Azerbaijan) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be held in Azerbaijan on November 11-22 this year, including the use of green transportation to reduce the carbon footprint, environmental protection, and at the same time encouraging and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The starting point of the bicycle rally, attended by enthusiastic cyclists, was in front of the historical Marine Station complex located in the center of the capital. The 70-kilometer march, with the participation of 36 cyclists, ended in the territory of the Port of Baku, the most modern and first Green Port complex in the region, located in the Alat settlement.

In addition to showcasing innovative sustainability initiatives at the Green Port, it is crucial to inspire individuals and organizations to adopt environmentally responsible practices and contribute to a cleaner, greener planet.
