Today, accompanied by the Xi’an Representative Office of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) International Association, a delegation led by Ye Niuping, the Mayor of Xi’an, visited the Baku International Sea Port of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, one of the companies of AZCON Holding.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the development of the TITR, the expansion of cooperation, as well as opportunities to increase international freight flows along the East–West corridor.

During the meeting, the delegation was provided with detailed information about the technical capabilities of the Port of Baku, its strategic geographical location, the potential of its logistics infrastructure, and the achievements of recent years. Both sides discussed the future development prospects of the Middle Corridor, the growing international interest in the East–West transport route, and opportunities to expand cooperation in this direction.

The guests also familiarized themselves with the ongoing and planned infrastructure projects at the port. The delegation observed the organization of cargo-handling processes and the management of operations at the port terminals.

This visit is of significant importance in strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in the field of transport and logistics, as well as enhancing interaction within the Middle Corridor.
