From January to July 2025, the Port of Baku, which is part of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and one of the companies of AZCON Holding, handled 4 million 625 thousand tons of cargo. This figure is 6.8% higher compared to the same period last year.

In the reporting period, the highest growth by type of cargo was recorded in container transportation — 54.2%. In addition, the volume of dry cargo handling increased by 34.8%, and the transportation of wheeled machinery grew by 6.4%.

Due to the growing importance of the Port of Baku in international cargo transportation routes, as well as the negotiations with partners and new agreements, it is forecasted that the total cargo turnover will increase even further by the end of the year.
